The goal of the CBEGSO Symposium is to provide CBE graduate students a forum to present their research, promoting intra-departmental collaborations, and networking with professionals from both industry and academia. Over the course of the day, students will showcase research from a wide range of disciplines, including energy and sustainablity, nano- and micro-fluidics, simulation and theory, materials science, nanotechnology, and bioengineering. The symposium will also feature an hour-long professional development panel discussion with department faculty, and alumni from the graduate program. Students will also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals at the Breakfast with STEM Champions organized by Graduate Career Services, and over lunch. The day will conclude with a closing reception, with awards given out to the best student presentations, as determined by faculty and industrial representatives serving as judges.
